WINBLUE in Synergy with Other EU-funded Projects

NEWS

The WINBLUE project was presented to the participants in a training for trainers course, implemented by eight organizations from Spain, Greece, Cyprus, and Bulgaria within the framework of the Erasmus+ funded project BlueDivet - Skills for Digitalization of the Blue Economy for VET students. The training held in Piraeus, Greece between 30.10 – 03.11.2023 with host organization IDEC. VEDA representatives had the opportunity to meet with the IDEC team to discuss the challenges and problems of women in the sectors of the blue economy, which are also in the focus of the WINBLUE project. IDEC is currently implementing over 60 projects, including the Blue-C project – Cooperation of Coastal Communities through Collaboration, Co-design and Co-creation (https://inishowen.ie/blue-c/) and SECOVE (https://secove-project.eu/). The second project aims to create a collaborative platform for Vocational Education and Training Centres of Excellence (CoVEs) across Europe in the renewable and sustainable energy sector, with a focus also on attracting more women to this sector. Recently, IDEC started a new project entitled GENDERATE – "Gender mainstreaming in TVET". The organization is interested in further cooperation with VEDA on gender issues in the sectors of the blue economy.
